As a Nepalese, what do you want the world to know?

As a Nepalese, what do you want the world to know?

My country Nepal is a beautiful landlocked country situated between India and China.

Nepal never celebrates independence day because it wasn’t ruled by any other country in the entire history. Being a landlocked country, Nepal has amazing natural beauty.

It is a home to more than 20,000,000 people. It lies in Asia.

Some of the most popular things for which Nepal is famous are:

  1. World’s Highest Peak: Sagarmatha (Mt.Everest)
    N
epal has the world’s highest peak. It is a mountain which measures 8848 meters. Mt.Everest is a very beautiful mountain and the scenario around the place is must visit once in life. Many tourists visit Nepal in order to climb Mt.Everest.

2. Light of Asia: Gautam Buddha: Gautam Buddha is considered to be a God. The Buddhist religion is followed up serving the teachings and values taught by him. There are around 9 to 10% of the people in this religion all around the world. Nepal is also famous as the country where Light of Asia belongs to.

3. Brave Gorkhalese: Nepal is a country that gave birth to many brave Gorkhalese. Gorkhalese has huge name and fame around the world. Nepal has been popular for this too.

Other than that there are some other things that I want people to know about Nepal.

Nepal’s landscape: Nepal has various landscape in all three regions (Hilly, Himalayan and Terai). All the landscapes are appealing to view.

Nepal is a landlocked country that has more than 10000 rivers. It is one of the richest countries in water resources. The waterfalls, lake, rivers, of Nepal, will surely make you WOOOW!!!

Culture and Traditions of Nepalese

  1. We all welcome everyone with a wide heart.
  2. Nepal is a secular state. We respect all the cultures and traditions equally.
  3. Human in this country are friendly, you are sure of making friends quicker if you know the language.
  4. There are thousands and thousands of places to visit in Nepal. Visiting the capital of Kathmandu is like visiting a museum because it got temples, monasteries, all over.
  5. Only 64.7% of Nepalese are literate but tries to cooperate with everyone.
  6. We were never ruled by our neighbouring country India and China.
  7. Lord Buddha was born in Nepal. There are still some people faking that Lord Buddha was born in India which is not true.
  8. Unemployment has been a major problem in Nepal. The problem is increasing rapidly because of which many Nepalese have flown to many aborad countries. You can find at least one Nepal in a country. More of the most visited country for employment in UAE, USA, Australia and many more.
  9. The pollution around the country is well managed. But in the capital of Nepal, Kathmandu, the place is highly polluted. It is sure of foreigners to get sick if they don’t cover their face with masks.
  10. Nepal is a developing country. Since a few years, because of the political instability of the country, the development work has come to a pause.
  11. We all Nepalese love our country Nepal and have great respect in our heart for our country.

Including some more things:

Other than that most of the thing to enjoy is the greenery of Nepal. The Hills and the forests.

In a lifetime if you ever get an opportunity Please visit Nepal. It is a saying that ‘Heaven is a myth, Nepal is real.’ I am not saying this because it is my country but because I know the experience that you can get in your life.

Including all these positive sides there are also places in Nepal like this:

But it has never been a concern because once you leave Kathmandu and reach the Himalayas far from the reach of pollution, you will realize what nature is, what happiness is, what rituals are.

Nepal is a perfect country from all the perspective. We have all the resources to make it one of the best. There’s possibly something that you might not find here. The only problem in the country is that the country is being led by the wrong leaders, by a corrupted politician who never realized how beautiful their own country is. Instead of developing it and making it a better place, they are all engaged in earning more and more. You might no believe that they charge 220% VAT on the vehicles.

Employment is very less. In that also, the high tax rate in each and everything makes people difficult to leave here. That is the reason why such beautiful country of ours is left with few highly skilled manpower. Brain drain has been the major problem because nobody wants to live here. Somehow I feel that these people are right. To sustain your life here, you need to make very much struggle.

The literacy rate hasn’t increased but the population and pollution keep increasing every day. The politicians are least bothered about their country but dearest Nepalese and all the people our country is our motherland the one who gave us our identity. All the country goes through a hard time so think that this time it is ours. These days will pass soon. if the younger and skilled youths like you leave the country for better opportunities than our country will be left with nothing. So please let us start within ourselves. Let us kick out this unuseable person from the post and bring the right people in the right place. We all citizens when combined we have the power to fight for our nation. so let us start.

I am sorry for going out of the topic but this is the thing that bothers me that despite being so beautiful and rich in resources we are lacking so much behind. So much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a dream to be a prime minister of the country and bring a positive change here. Make the change possible once I dream of. I am 17 now but I will let my passion get going. I hope you got the information you wanted.

Edit:
I would like to thank all of you for your beautiful comments and 1k upvote. This is the first time I am getting 1k upvote in my Quora answer :)

Also, there is one point I forgot to explain.

  • The flag of Nepal is the only flag that is not in a rectangular shape. The flag of our country is this. It is a unique flag all over the world.

Also, I would like to make something clear. When I mentioned that Lord Gautam Buddha was born in Nepal, there are a lot of people arguing in the comments sections and explaining other things.

Lord Buddha is a god himself. I don’t think it is necessary for me to re-explain where he was born. It is a fact that he was born in Lumbini, Nepal. So I mentioned it just like the other facts I have mentioned. He is a God and stating which country he was born is very irrelevant and arguing with that topic has no sense at all.

I mentioned it just like the other fact and the truth is something that everyone knows. Dear people, please have a sense on the topic to speak, we are here arguing which country he was born, the rebirth and everything. We don’t praise him for the country he was born but the contribution Lord Buddha has and his teaching, norms and values. I just explained it as a fact and I don’t think I did anything wrong. Even when you search in Google you get to find the truth so please don’t try to argue with me.

I am so much done receiving comments about only this thing. Let all of us make the thing clear that Gautam Buddha is a god and it doesn’t matter where and when he was born, what matters s the value he has taught us in our lives. Maybe I did a mistake explaining as a fact. IDK

Let this screenshot make things more clear to you all. I don’t feel keeping this screenshot because I don’t understand why I am arguing but anyway!!!!!!!!

But for now, this is the only edit I feel that is necessary

Thank you for all your warm wishes and beautiful comments and upvotes. I am blessed :)
